A Message from the EastWelcome to the virtual home of Oshkosh Lodge #27. My name is David Miles and I have the privilege of serving the Lodge as Master in this year of our Lord, 2008. This will be an exciting year with many new members waiting to receive degrees and many challenges concerning our future lodgings to be determined. We are currently in the process of selling our building and will be exploring opportunities for our new long term home.Oshkosh Lodge has become more active in recent years with our work for charities and in social activities. This is a trend I plan to continue to encourage during the coming year. We will once again be holding Brat fries to raise funds to distribute to local elementary school libraries. We will continue to sponsor a team for youth soccer. We will be scheduling social activities every month to encourage a growing fellowship among our brethren. If you are a fellow Mason, please feel free to attend any function we host. If you are interested in seeking self improvement for the sake of bettering yourself and mankind and are not yet a Mason, please feel free to send us an e-mail and we will be happy to answer any questions you might have concerning Masonry. Respectfully yours, David Miles Worshipful Master, Oshkosh Lodge #27

Steve Labus, Jane Kuhn, Kris Pillar, Patti Vickman, Ron Montgomery, Jean Stebbins On June 1st and 2nd, Oshkosh Lodge 27 with assistance from the Oshkosh Eastern Star members raised money by selling Brats at Festival Foods in Oshkosh, WI. The money raised was donated to the Media Centers of three Oshkosh Area Schools, Lincoln, Smith and Webster Stanley. Our Oshkosh Masons worked very hard to make the brat fry a success despite very poor weather conditions. The Worthy Matron from the Order of the Eastern Star, Pamela Pillar, offered umbrella service during the noon hour to anyone who wanted to buy a Brat.Despite the rain, the Oshkosh Masonic Lodge hit their sales goal. During the Brat Fry, several questions were asked by customers about the Masons, including, “What do Masons do?” and “How do I become a Mason?” A check was given to Jean Stebbins (Principal, Smith Elementary School), Jane Kuhn (Principal, Lincoln Elementary School and Patti Vickman (Principal, Webster Elementary School) during the June 13th televised school board meeting. The Oshkosh Masonic Lodge plans to continue fund raising to support all of our public schools.
